Petunia corollas. (An original miniature from my “Flower Miniatures” series)

In this piece, I explored the rhythmic repetition of petunia blooms, focusing on their striped corollas that alternate between deep and light shades. By carefully layering markers and colored pencils, each petal reveals subtle nuances of color, bringing out the flower’s playful pattern and delicate contours. The scattered arrangement evokes a sense of movement and celebration, as though a handful of petals were tossed into the air.

Enclosed in a neutral MDF frame under glass, with a coordinating mat, “Petunia Corollas” suits both modern and classic interiors. Whether displayed solo to catch the eye or incorporated into a broader floral gallery, it promises to add a cheerful flourish. With minimal care—avoiding direct sunlight and humidity—this miniature will retain its vibrant allure for years to come.
