Burgundy. (An original miniature from my “Flower Miniatures” series)

In this piece, I sought to capture the dramatic beauty of a burgundy tulip in full bloom. By layering markers and colored pencils, the petals reveal subtle shades of red and violet, highlighting the flower’s intricate contours and velvety texture. The contrast between the deep hue of the bloom and the soft background underscores the tulip’s striking presence.

Presented in a neutral MDF frame with glass and a matching mat, “Burgundy” complements both modern and classic décor. As part of the “Flower Miniatures” series, it can stand alone or be paired with other works to create a cohesive floral display. With minimal care—avoiding direct sunlight and excess humidity—it will maintain its rich coloration and elegant charm for years to come.
