Peony buds. (An original miniature from my “Flower Miniatures” series)

In this piece, I aimed to capture the anticipation and quiet promise of peonies just before they burst into bloom. By layering markers and colored pencils, I focused on the delicate contours and soft tonal transitions that suggest the impending fullness of each bud.

The gentle interplay of muted greens and blush undertones evokes nature’s serene unfolding. Presented in a neutral MDF frame with glass and a mat, “Peony Buds” can be displayed on its own or grouped with other miniatures to form a harmonious floral arrangement. With basic care—avoiding direct sunlight and humidity—this piece will maintain its graceful charm for years to come.
