Mama’s Garden

When I painted “Mama’s Garden”, I wanted to capture that feeling of peace and comfort you experience in childhood, standing barefoot on warm soil in your parents’ garden. This work is, in a way, a tribute to my mother’s hands, which so lovingly cared for every single plant in the garden.
In the foreground, you see lush, green rows of cabbage and garlic, while to the side stands an old apple tree with wide-spreading branches that always offered cool shade, even on the hottest days. I used watercolor on canvas to preserve the lightness and transparency of the colors, bringing a sense of freshness and life. The 60×80 cm format allowed me to unfold the scene and fill it with air and light.
I hope that when you look at “Mama’s Garden”, you can feel the warmth of the earth, the gentle movement of air, and that precious closeness to nature we so often lose in the rush of everyday life.
Watercolor covered with varnish. Framed in a plastic frame.
