When I was creating “One Italian Evening,” I was inspired by the warm scent of pine treetops and the unhurried charm of old architecture. I wanted to capture that special feeling of a southern evening, when the air is filled with the gentle glow of sunset and the sky takes on soft pink and lilac hues. The flowing lines of the pines and the delicate silhouette of the building in the background help immerse you in a contemplative mood, as though you’re standing in a quiet garden in a gentle breeze. In this painting, I experimented with semi-transparent oil layers to convey the depth of space and the subtle play of light on the tree branches. I strove to maintain a soft color harmony that envelops and draws in the viewer. The 70×70 cm format allows the composition to breathe and fully reveal the atmosphere of a Mediterranean evening. I hope that “One Italian Evening” becomes your personal window into the romance and warmth of southern latitudes—a reminder of pleasant travels and a call to new inspiring dreams.
