This work explores the feeling of anticipation—the quiet excitement of approaching a destination, a meeting, or an unknown experience. Gondolas glide across luminous turquoise water while the Doge’s Palace appears as a timeless presence welcoming them. Painted on a handwoven canvas from the mid-twentieth century, the work combines the material's own history with light, almost watercolor-like oil layers, creating an atmosphere where architecture, water, and light merge into a single emotional space.
